In laying quail I can not constitute a character who is species-specific . Some of them are a bit anxious and were hiding, or excited to run around when you come into the aviary. Just as there are animals that come running directly and hope to get a few mealworms.
Again, there are some who just ignore the one who feeds them. Significantly, if you spend more time with the animals, the animals trust you more. It is easier when the animals get to know the people as early as possible (ideally from slip).
But to breed itself and to deal much with the animals is no guarantee for trusting animals, there are always individuals that are not trustful.
